PICS I PROMISED...

HELLOW GUYS! I hope you had a nice weekend and that you enjoyed it. Well, I do not have much to talk about. My life is kind of bored. But, here are the photographs I promised I will post. They where taken by me. Some of them of course :S.

This is the first pic, I was scuba diving in the deepest part of the spring.

As you can see, there are many trees at the bottom of it.

In some of them you can sit and relax for a while :).

This pic was taken by a friend. Actually, he is the owner of the
scuba diving equipment. He has over 300 tanks. The one in the
back of the pic is another friend.

This is the biggest part of the spring. This part is the reason why it
is called la "Media Luna" I still can not find the shape. :s

These pics are from the places where it is more shallow.

People who bring little kids and babys prefer this part.

As you can see, I was not lying. The water is as clear as a crystal.

This pic was taken on the road to the grutas of "Catedral".
My next post I am going to talk about this wonderful place. It is great. Check the edge of the license plate. ;). Scuba Diver jaja. Well, g2g. See ya! Ba Bye

Republica de Cuba

Cuba is a small socialist country located in the northern Caribbean at the meeting point of the Caribbean sea, the Gulf of Mexico and the Atlantic Ocean. Cuba has a tropical climate so besides being hot it is humid. It has a weather similar to the one in Tampico, but, since it is in the cross of the Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico many hurricanes pass by it.

One of the most visited provinces in Cuba is Ciudad de la Habana which is the the capital city of the country. This province is the major port and leading commercial centre of Cuba. If you like to see beautiful buildings as well as wonderful beaches visit La Havana. It has a fantastic nightlife with great music (for me the best) with great shows. It also has great theaters and museums. The best part of this is that it is not expensive at all. With around 12,000 pesos you can have a unforgettable weekend. Visit Cuba that Cuba will be waiting for you.

These are just a few places you can visit while you are at La Havana.

A bit more about "La Media Luna"

Hi again! Well, this is my post for this week. I am going to talk a little bit more about the “Media Luna” spring. I know I promised some pics taken by me, but I could not find the DVD in which I have them :s. Plus, I completely forgot about the post jiji. Well, the “Media Luna” spring has a depth of 36 meters. As I mentioned before, you can go swimming, snorkeling or even scuba diving in winter. Something very weird happens here. The spring in winter reaches its maximum temperature that is 32°celcius. Crazy huh! Geologists from the Universidad Autonoma de San Luis Potosi believe that there used to exit a great lake on this place. And due to the weather changes it began to dry and finished in small lagoons as it is at this moment. It has a length of 300 meters for 60 on its biggest part. All the figures found buried in the bottom of the spring where figures made by aborigines. In the year 650 this region was populated by Pames, Otomies and Chichimecas. That is why we can find figures, pots, jars and many other things made of mud. This is it for today. Promise to post some pics next time. See ya! Ba Bye.

MYSELF (2ND PART)

Hellow! Well, this is the second part of my profile, and, Guess what? Here is the picture of me scuba diving in “La Media Luna”. Since I do not like to talk much about myself, I am going to talk about “La Media Luna”. XD. “La Media Luna is a spring of sweet water. It is called like that because it has the shape of a half moon. Even though I can not find that shape. It is sorrounded by vegetation, and it has six arms that form small rivers. This spring is located in Rioverde, San Luis Potosi. It is around 6 miles away from down town. This spring’s water is so clear you can have a visibility of around 90 ft. And it’s temperature is always 25°c. So, if go in December you can swim with no problem. The water is quiet warm, although when you go out it is cold. This is a perfect place to practice scuba diving. As you can see on my pic. A long time ago, Mr. Jacques Yves Cousteau visited this place. He came specially to Mexico to visit “La Media Luna”. He was received by Mr. Juvencia Martinez who is a great scuba diver. Around 30 years ago, he found a mammoth skull deep in the water. They have found many other archelogical pieces. There even is a “Mammoth Museum” which is located in the hotel “Media Luna”. This is it for today, next time I will upload more pics of this beautiful spring and pictures I took of the mammoth’s skull. Ba bye. See ya!
