Mi blog!!!

Hola! Gracias.

Grutas (improved)

Hello! This is a post I've already posted before. Our teacher told us to print it so he can improve it and correct some mistakes.

Grutas are what we know as caves. They are formed by water filtration. They take thousands of years to be formed. The different types of shapes and sizes are characteristics of the rocks in the caves. They are built primarily of stalactites and stalagmites. These are accumulations of salt minerals. Stalactites are the ones which hang from the upper part of the cave. And stalagmites go from the bottom to the upper part. These rocks have formed many shapes inside the caves. One is "La gruta de Catedral" and the other one is "La gruta del Angel" The pic I'm posting is from the first one. This one is called like that because at the very bottom there is a big space made by rocks that form the shape of the inner part of a Cathedral. Well, this is it. My next post I'm going to talk a little about "Gruta de Catedral". And I'll post some pics I took there. See ya! Ba bye.

Marriage

Tan tan ta tan, tan tan ta tan... What?
There is one question nobody can answer me up to this moment. Well, actually they do but all they say is non sense. At least it is for me. Why is marriage a good thing? I can’t see anything positive about getting married.

What is the difference of getting married by the law and not getting married and live with someone? The only difference that I see is that by law you get a legal document saying that you are married. What are the benefits of this document? From my pint of view, none! Actually, there is a clear advantage I see but it is only for women. For example, if a couple gets divorced, the woman can fight for part of the ex husband’s properties and things for their children. And what’s in for the man? Nothing!

Getting married by a religious way is something even bigger I can’t understand. Do you have to marry by his or by her religion? This is in case you have different believes. Do you have to go to mass at your church or at hers? Why getting married? I’m not going to talk about this because I can have problems, jiji.

Well, if anybody can guide me or make me understand why is it good to get married, please post me back. And please, don’t get mad at me. Every time I say I don’t want to get married people seem o get mad at me. This is another thing I can’t understand! Am I dumb? That is about it for this post. I’m pretty much done. Please requestJ. Love and marriage, love and marriage, It’s an institute…

Terrible Weekend

Dear Sir or Madam :
On July 16 my friends and I arrived at your inn hoping to spend an enjoyable weekend. Unfortunately, because of your poor service, our weekend was a disaster. Since your ad says "have a fabulous time or get your money back", I am requesting tha you refund our money.
From the moment we arrived, there were problems with th service. First, a very unfriendly desk clerk couldn't our reservation. After waiting almost half an hour, we were led by another unfriendly clerk to our room. The room, which had a view of a parking lot instead of the bay, ad not yet been cleaned, so we found dirty towels on the beds and cigarette butts in the ashtrays. Despite these problems, none of your empleyees apologized to us. This was not the weekend we had been looking foward to.
Service at your inn was not always like this. My provious visits were always enjoyable because of the corteous service and clean rooms with beautiful views. Until things change at your inn, I will never recommend it to anyone. I expect to recieve my refund shortly.
Sincerely yours,
Dale Thomas

A creative person.

Lucy Gomez is the most creative person I know. She started piano lessons when she was only 6 years old. At school, she was always creating interesting projects in her art class. When she was only 12 years old, she won a citywide poetry contest. Her parents were very proud of her.

Now Lucy works as a sitcom writer for a popular TV show. She works with a group of writers, and together they have to think of fresh ideas. They also have to come up with funny dialog for the actors on their show because the actors have to play believable characters that will make the audience laugh. It is not an easy job, but Lucy does it well.

She starts work late in the morning and often works until 7 or 8 at night.

Lucy is very curious. She likes to travel and meet new people who have opinions that are different form hers. She often carries a notebook with her and writes down what she sees and hears. Lucy tells me that these new experiences are a good source of ideas for her work. I always enjoy talking to her and am happy to know someone as bright and creative as Lucy.

High school Regrets

I have nothing but regrets about the time I spent in high school. Many say that high school years are the best. Well, they weren’t for me. Actually, I think they were the worst years of my life. Now that I’m in college, I think about those days a lot. I remember things I wish I hadn’t done or had done differently. Regrets, regrets and more regrets.

One of my major regrets is that I didn’t pay enough attention to my teachers. When I was in class I was only thinking in other things different to the class. For example, in physics class I was supposed to pay attention to learn formulas. Instead I was thinking in which pc video game to buy. Nothing to do one thing with the other. :S

I also regret not going in to class. Sometimes my friends from other classrooms where playing at the volleyball court. I wanted to play to. The difference between them and me was that I had class. I didn’t care at all. All I wanted to do was to play. Due to this, I failed all my exams. These are some regrets I will never forget. Now that I’m older I sit down and think of what I did in those days. I can’t believe how I could’ve done that. If I could go back in time I would not do it again.
